- Ideas - we came up with lots of different ideas that we could think of that we could possibly do within where our interests lay.
- Stealing Ideas - we looked at existing design studios to see what it is that they have to offer to help us come up with possibilities for ourselves, as well as seeing what sort of and how many areas of design are offered within each studio.
- Everything we need to do - once we had a good idea of what it is we want We are; to be, we then went on to putting together an initial mind map consisting of all of the areas that we think we need to cover for this brief. There will probably be more things to be added to this as time progresses for this brief.
Here are the mind maps that we produced:
The main thing that we did whilst putting together the 'stealing ideas' mind map was that we had a good read through a whole variety of mission statements that studios have on their websites. This included the ones from:

Idea
Our initial idea that we have decided on for what our studio will be is a design studio where the 4 of us will work on things like branding and will focus mainly on print. We each have our own individual skills as well as being into similar things so not only will we work together as a studio, we will also take on individual projects as well where necessary.
Even so, we don't just want to be a design studio, we also really like the idea of having an exhibition space which we will use to help promote ourselves as well as local, upcoming creatives.
To be able to do this, we need to look for a space that will accommodate for both of these elements to the studio. Using the floor plans that are available on the college website of the Blenheim college building, we used these to find out what sort of floor space size we would need. We considered what studio space would be ideal for what we want and then looked to see what sizes these were to help us when looking for a space to rent.
